About Us

Welcome to i2Evolve art studio, created by Kimberly Popolizio. With a passion for teaching and helping children, I embarked on a journey that has spanned over two decades. As a former New York City public school art teacher, I had the privilege of working with children facing various crises in some of the most underserved communities.

Drawing inspiration from Eastern Philosophies, I have incorporated mindfulness into my sessions, empowering students to develop self-awareness and emotional intelligence. Through carefully planned art curriculum, I foster social and emotional skills, enabling students to explore the world around them and, most importantly, their own unique identities.

After relocating to the Hudson Valley, my dedication to assisting teens and families in crisis continued. Art became the cornerstone of skill development, crisis prevention, self-discovery, and a catalyst for realizing one's self-worth. Motivated by this community-based work, I founded the i2Evolve art studio.

Over the years, i2Evolve has touched the lives of hundreds of children, spanning from the Capital District to the Hudson Valley region. We welcome children and adults of all abilities, offering a diverse range of services and consulting options. Our reach extends to local agencies, schools, community programs, mental health practices, and more.

My educational background includes a BFA from the Fashion Institute of Technology and a Master of Science from C.W. Post's Graduate Art Education program. Furthermore, I hold a NYS K-12 Art Educator Permanent Teacher Certification. In 2023, I furthered my training by obtaining a certificate in Trauma-Informed Creative Arts Therapy.

As both a parent and a teacher, I wholeheartedly embrace the responsibility of providing essential social and emotional learning to today's youth. At i2Evolve, we offer a nurturing, non-clinical environment where children can disconnect from stress and express their inner thoughts through imagination and creativity. By providing these opportunities, we equip children with valuable tools to self-regulate, enhance self-awareness, experience empowerment, and foster personal growth.
